Affordable Cosmetic brands

What is your skin eating? Seriously, do you even know? When we think about our health we tend to focus more on what we put into our body not what we put ON our body. Our skin is the largest organ of our body and the biggest entry for toxins to enter into the body, and yet often the last thing we think of when it comes to our health. Our skin absorbs about 60 PERCENT of any topical product that we use and as women, that's huge because we are constantly applying and reapplying products throughout the day. The average chemicals women wear A DAY is 515. Yes, you read that right. There are thousands of hazardous ingredients within our beauty products, though they are hazardous to our health they are still given the OK to be used in our products. So save your skin and stop putting toxins in your bloodstream. Just like you can be frugal and eat healthy, you can also buy affordable healthy chemical free products your skin will thank you for.
Top 4 Cosmetic Brands affordable and organic

Before I get into the different beauty brands I want to give you a small background about my skin to help you understand my journey in switching to organic. I have a combination of oily, sensitive, acne-prone skin. I didn't have acne much until I got into college. Having adult acne is a bit more tricky to get a handle on and a lot more embarrassing. I went to multiple different dermatologists and tried different prescribed medicines and creams. Including every brand of cleansers and spot treatments at the drugstore, you can think of. Not only were these products changing the texture and feel of my skin they were adding new problems on top of the adult acne. So about 2-3 years ago I started to research into organic beauty brands. Over the years I have done more damage than good with chemical filled products. Deep acne scars, cystic acne, color pigment problems to name a few and since switching to organic beauty products I'm finally regaining back young youthful skin. Below is a list of top cosmetic brands that I use/tried personally. Don't worry about replacing everything at once, that can get expensive quick. Start with a couple products you use on a daily basis and grow from there. Trust me you will not look back once you switch organic.

Top 4 Affordable Organic Cosmetic Brands

Avalon Organics

Affordable cosmetic avalon organicsAvalon Organics is great for skincare, bath and body, and my personal favorite shampoos! They are USDA certified organic, vegan and cruelty-free. For me, shampoo was a top priority since it's something I use every day. Aluminum, Synthetic fragrances, and sodium lauryl sulfate are just a few of the cancer-causing, hormone altering hazardous chemicals in popularly advertised shampoos. Avalon Organics offers a variety of shampoos whether you are trying to thicken or volumize. They don't strip your hair from the natural oil it produces and more importantly, their products are AFFORDABLE! I typically use the website vitacost.com to purchase my products. They are always running a sale offering killer deals and has the latest releases from the brand.

Nourish Organics

Nourish Organics is a great drugstore buy. They have affordable and organic products. It's a great brand to test and see what kind of ingredients works best with your skin. This product is available at top store name brands like target and Walmart. Nourish Organics is USDA certified with a commitment 95-100% organic ingredients in their products. I have tried many of their lotions. Great smells and hydrating.

Physicians Formula

Physicians Formula is another great drugstore buy. I live in a small town so I normally have to purchase my products online. Physicians Formula is also a great brand to use if you are just starting out. With their affordable prices, it gives you the ability to try different makeup items to see what really works for your skin.

100 Percent Pure

100 percent pure organic cosmetics

I can not talk about organic brands without mentioning 100 Percent Pure. This brand is a bit on the high end of cost, but you receive such high-quality products, literally health food for your skin! I kid you not I always feel like I'm at a high-end spa right at my house when I use any of their products. They have fruit dried makeup, skincare, body, hair, and baby products. Made with the highest quality of ingredients and completely free from harmful toxins. Currently, my skincare and makeup are mostly made up of products from this brand. Not only are their products health food for your skin, but the smells are so refreshing and energizing. This is one place I do buy from their actual site because they have a reward system called Purist Perks. For every $1 you spend you receive 1 point. Once you receive 100 points you will be able to pick a product from their list for free. I love this because I am able to try products for free I might be on the fence about. Also, they are all the time offering a free gift with your purchase if you spend a certain amount.

You no longer can make excuses about going organic on your beauty brands. The popularity is growing, the choices to choose from greater and the prices affordable. Start small, change a couple products at a time and before you know it you will see a change yourself and you won't even remember your life before going organic!
